You might remember seeing our favorite energy saving duo in Ecocentric’s recent Energy Efficiency 101 post. Well, we love this energy efficiency odd couple so much that we thought we'd highlight one more of our favorite videos in the great series produced by Energy Impact Illinois.
(And, let’s be honest, energy efficiency and comedy are rarely paired together, so we're going to milk this series for all it’s worth.)
In today’s featured series, Big Bill and Little Bill show us how to focus on the quick, cheap things we can do to save energy at home: wrapping hot water pipes in insulation, sealing drafts and tips on how to get the most bang-for-your-buck from your washer and dryer.
Are these obvious ideas? Sure, but if you want to take it up a notch there’s plenty more tips and tricks featured in the rest of the series. Plus where else can you get such stirring summations from the notoriously lethargic Big Bill?
“It doesn’t take long to do things, but it doesn’t take any time to do nothing.”
Wait, that’s not the point at all.
Let’s listen to efficiency-loving Little Bill:
“If you just take little steps, you can set yourself forward on the path towards energy savings.”
Ahh, now that’s more like it.
