TEDxManhattan Heroes: Andrew Gunther

As TEDxManhattan 2014 approaches, we've asked this year's speakers to introduce themselves by answering a few questions. Today we feature Andrew Gunther, Program Director at Animal Welfare Approved.

What's the topic you'll be speaking about?

The unintended consequence of our agricultural development.

Why is this important?

We have by dealing only with the symptoms created a system that is held together with a set of sticking plasters.

Are there other projects you're also passionate about right now – either yours or someone else's?

Linking food to health.

Which other 2014 TEDxManhattan speakers are you excited about hearing?

Lance Price because he is joining the dots as to some of our challenges in an unequivocal way.

Where can more information about your project be found?

TEDxManhattan, “Changing the Way We Eat,,” will take place March 1, 2014 at the TimesCenter in New York City.  Interested in joining the day? You can host or attend a viewing party in your community.
